R.I.P Brittany Murphy 1977-2009

I am a huge fan of the movie "Clueless" and just about everything Brittany Murphy starred in, such as "Don't say a word" and "8 mile" and who could forget "Girl interrupted" just to name a few. I was so shocked by her sudden death and I personally felt like I was living in a nightmare when I heard the news. I only met her once and her spirit was so lovely. She was funny and sweet and one of the nicest people or celebrities you could ever meet. She never let the industry change her "girl next door" attitude. She was definitely one of a kind, and she will always be remembered and loved. She will always be remembered as Tai, Cher and Dione's friend from New York in "Clueless" and that movie is a pop phenomenon and one of her break out roles and no one could have played that role any better. I'm Gonna MISS HER SOOOOOO MUCH!

I've been away! SORRYYYY here's some video's though

These are some recent recorded archives from my ustream account (

What is the "Google Wave"?

In case you was living under a rock, the internet has been buzzing with the new and improved "Google" format, which is called the "Google Wave". According to google, the "Google Wave" is simply "an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more".

A message from Amy to DJ AM

Amy was a heroin addict, and decided to seek treatment when DJ AM came into her life. Her struggles and withdrawal with drugs was all captured on MTV "DJ AM presents: Gone too Far". The show captures the lives of young adults dealing with a drug habit. It shows the journey to their recovery as well as the effect drugs had on their loved ones and their health. The show also documents DJ AM intervening in the lives of each of them and his effort to keep them on track and bring their families back together. Before the show was set to air, DJ AM was found dead in his New York City apartment from an apparent drug overdose. Besides being a cool guy and down to earth, he too suffered from addiction. DJ AM will always be loved and missed. So this video below is a message from Amy!

Cool Video of Aubrey O'Day....

I had to post this video of Aubrey because she addresses issues that needed to be said. I LOVE her to death, she's so strong, and comfortable with who she is as a person, performer, and a woman. Hopefully this video will inspire all the women in the world to love yourself with or without makeup, love your body with or without curves. (Cheers to Aubrey) :-)

Alicia Keys react to LIL MAMA

Ok now, This is getting kind of old but the only person I'm really waiting to hear a response from is the one and only Jay-z a.k.a Hov! However I know you want to hear what Mrs, A.Keys had to say....

P.Diddy vs The Hip Hop Police

As you already know, after the MTV Vma's on Sunday, New York City was filled with tons of parties and as a result tons of the infamous "Hip Hop Police". In New York City we are use to them bothering and annoying celebrities, music artist and their entourages, however they ran into Mr, Combs and he wasn't haven't that. A few words were exchanged and here is the video below explaining the pictures above.

LIL Mama's Video apology

Immediately following the Jay-z performance Lil mama and her publicist released a statement. However she sat down with MTV correspondent Tim Kash and spoke more in detail about what happened and her reaction once watching it from home.

uh OH! Diddy goes at lil mama

Wowzer...we thought fab was the only one with Lil Mama jokes, think again

Ester Dean featuring Chris Brown "LOVING THIS SONG"

She's a problem, She's beyond dope! I love this song and its great to see Chris Brown back at it again!

WOWZER ODB (r.i.p) pulled a Kanye to at the Grammy's

LOL...Enjoy this video and subscribe to

THROWBACK...50 cent pulled a Kanye move in 2004! remember?

After posting the Kanye apology, I immediately thought about 50 cent and his 2004 subliminal on stage encounter at the Grammy awards. He was nominated for best new artist and ironically he lost to Evanescence. All jokes aside....50 cent should have taken that award home. Anyway, enjoy this throwback video.

Sidenote: 50 cent reacts to Kanye West stealing Taylor Swifts moment of her 1st MTV award!

Kanye's emotional apology

As you all know about the incident that took place on sunday at MTV's Vma's between Taylor Swift and Kanye West, he went straight to his blog and apologized. After the scrutiny towards his blog response, him and Jay-z and Rihanna already were scheduled to perform on the Jay Leno show, however Kanye decided to make a public apology to Taylor Swift on the show. So in case you missed it, here's the video. (Sidenote: MTV executives asked Kanye to apologize during the award show and he refused and was escorted out with girlfriend Amber Rose, while also getting into a confrontation with Taylor Swift mom and clearly wasn't backing down. Due to all the drama, to turn things around beyonce decided to allow Taylor Swift to give her acceptance speech during her acceptance of the award)

Jay-z featuring Alicia Keys and LIL mama VMA performance lol

I'm so sick of hearing about LiL mama, however she knows it wasn't a good move, but we are all human. We live and Learn and Move on! Sidenote did you hear Jay-z say to lil Mama "Your T-paining"...OUCH! However, after watching this video a billion times, he actually didn't play her, he actually showed her love in my opinion. Knowing Jay-z, he could have done her dirty or even his security could have.

Jam Master Jay Documentary TRAILER

HEY!!!! Tashi update

So, I wanted to talk about me for a minute. I have been doing so much soul searching and thinking, and I really wanna change my life. I never felt so lost and confused as I have been since 2009 started. I finally feel like myself, and I never wanna get swallowed up in this mean world and or industry again. I realized I was molding myself, and just doing too much. I believe everything happens for a reason and I'm happy I seen the light. I actually feel like the real Tashi, I'm just a nerd! I can't believe how much life has changed, and I just want things back to normal! So I'm only going to focus on my real friends, and real family member's that support me. At this point my main goals are getting my B.A out the way and get these courses done and working anywhere to pay my way through school. I really would love for you all to keep me in your prayers, because I really have to make it because I don't have a choice. My grandmother isn't doing to good so I have to prepare myself for a lot of things, and tons of Financial problems ahead. I'm not scared of what's to come, because I'm a strong person and I keep god first. I've been knocked down so much that I know how to get up without any ones help, but I will continue updating my blog and will stay focus. Thanx XOXO Tashi

Does this make u laugh? THEY FIND IT FUNNY

Congratulations to Scott and Kourtney Kardashian, expecting their first baby this December! To see how it all unfolds with the surprising pregnancy, you have to watch E! "Kourtney & Khloe" in Miami.

Also Danger from the Vh1 Show "For the Love of Ray-J" is also expecting very soon. Her stomach is huge! It was reports that she was dating and was engaged to Nick Cannon's brother and also rumors that she could be carrying Ray-J's baby! Who knows?? But I wish all the moms to be a healthy baby!

"Nene & Kim" It's getting MESSY

I first want to say I LOVE "The Housewives of Atlanta" and I love every one of the females on the show, but I don't respect people airing other people out. It's good for television but it's not nice. Making fun of Kim and her hair was really mean, and discussing someones marriage life is also very mean, knowing they have children. I think at this point NeNe and Kim can never be friends again.

SAD NEWS! R.I.P John Hughes

I heard today that the most amazing director ever passed away this morning in New York City according to TMZ. John Hughes is the man behind all those totally awesome 80's movies. As you know I love the 80's flicks, and it was an era when movies were funny and goofy and always had memorable funny lines. John Hughes is most famous for these movies "The Breakfast Club" which is the best movie ever, and "sixteen candles" and "Pretty in Pink" and the movie that launched Matthew Broddericks career "Ferris Bueller's Day off" and of course the "Home Alone" movies. He was a cinema genius.

TMZ SPOTTED MASE! The album is coming

NO NEED TO TYPE! I LOVE MASE, HE WAS MY FAVORITE RAPPER GROWING UP AND HE'S SO FUNNY! He switched his whole style up once he realized it was the TMZ camera man! Ha ha

Until then watch this teaser and enjoy it!

BAD MOVE for coogi

For a while now, tons of people in the Fashion industry felt like Coogi selling it's label and rights to FuBu was a bad move. It was confirmed a while back that FuBu indeed owns Coogi, but according to reliable fashion publications like "Women's Wear Daily" Coogi sales has dropped significantly. In order to have Coogi sell a respectable revenue to avoid the recession, fubu had to have the price point dropped to moderately expensive. As a result the Australian Coogi lifestyle brand lost exclusivity, however it's affordable but not considered High End apparel. So in this case it's a "Lose Lose" situation. The Coogi brand empire is slowly melting.

The Tables Turned....Superhead EXPOSED

We all know she's a (Cough) woman who is known for exposing music artist in the industry. Well, know she's being exposed by Darius McCrary, a actor you may recognize from the hit show "Family Matters". He claims in this video that she's a unfit mother, a manipulator and overall scandalous woman. You must see it to believe it.

This is why the public doesn't respect Police Authority

So today I seen this video courtesy of and I was totally offended and became disturbed and angry. How can we the people respect Police Authority? It's been one to many incidents similar to this and some even fatal. When will this end? I first was extremely mad when after ordering the man out the car, they had a dog attack him, numerous times. Following a search, in which he was clean of no drugs or anything illegal, then a cop plants a bag of weed on him. Was this necessary? Did this have to happen? I can't help but to continue to get mad at Police authority taking advantage of everyday people, and in most cases being racist or even killing people, because they are authorized by the city to carry a gun. I hope and pray that all police commissioners and officials are evaluated, and new guidelines are improved so these situations don't have to become repetitive.

Chris Brown "The New MJ"?

As you already know, after leaving NYC Jones Beach on Saturday, Lil Wayne and Entourage next tour stop was in Virginia Beach on Sunday, where Chris Brown came out and did a brief Cameo and danced to MJ towards the end of the show, pretty much proving, he's the man! Enjoy this 40 second clip

LOL..Im just like you!

Saturday, August 1, 2009

As you already know, Drake fell on stage during a performance in Camden, New Jersey and injured himself. I was told that he injured his ACL again. Before you start thinking it's a publicity stunt, it's not. He injured himself previously and during the B.E.T performance he had to sit on stage while doing "Best I ever had" and "Every girl". However he will be getting surgery next week, Monday to be precise and I wish him a Speedy recovery. He will remain on tour and do shows. Therefor Show love and come out to the shows. If your in California he will be performing on August 13th and it's not to late to get tickets from

Here's the infamous video below, and to make light of the situation Lil wayne says "This ni**a really has a bad knee, I thought that S**t was only on the tv show, I gotta get some extra insurance on this N****"...enjoy it!

Check out lil Wayne fall...

The new Season of MTV "THE HILLS"

Check out this new Teaser from MTV! It seems like Staci "The bartender" is staying around for a few episodes! "Oh Boy"

Teyana is the homie!

Yami is a friend of mines and Teyana is a good friend of hers. There for if Yami likes you and considers you a friend, that means your a good person. I know how it is to hear and see people say mean things about you, and for some reason people don't realize, it doesnt matter who you are or what you do, or even how much money you have? We all are human, we all cry, we all get cut and bleed and we hurt and have feelings. I just want to say I only met Teyana once and she was beyond nice and was extremely funny. I seen her at a few parties and events in New York City and there's really nothing mean or bad I can say about her. Continue to show her love and look out for the album because it will be dope! She's an amazing person and creative and has so much to offer the music industry, just wait and see, and I hate to see her down and crying like that. Stay strong Teyana! I heart U girl.

So I finally heard audio of Jay-z response to all the "Autotune" controversy. So Jay-z called into Big Boy and cleared the air this week. When speaking of the song "D.O.A" people felt as if Jay-z was subliminally dissing Ron Browz, DJ webstar, and even T-Pain to name a few. According to Jay-z the track was referring to people jumping on a musical trend and forgetting about the roots. Jay-z said "It was pretty much a challenge for the industry to move forward" he also goes on during the interview and in reference to Autotune he said "When a hundred people jump on the same thing its very difficult to tell who's who" he also mentioned that "I figured it would be offensive..I figured it would spark conversation" So there you have it, he was speaking to the industry, no one particular, and Jay-z will release the "BLUEPRINT 3" on September 11th, why on 9/11? Well 9/11 was the day the "Blueprint 1" dropped as well as Fabolous "Ghetto Fabolous" and ironically a historical and unforgettable day for me and my fellow New Yorker. This was the day when World Trade Center was attacked.

2012 movie trailer

I first want to state that, the movie looks like it will be good, but who wants to see a prediction of how all mankind and civilization will be destroyed. I felt a little weary as I watched this trailer. I also felt some goosebumps, it's a very scary thing to see and something I dont want to see. It's like seeing how your going to die. I don't know how I feel about that infamous day 2012 but I hope nothing happens. We must speak and pray to god, but none the less, here's the trailer and what are your thoughts?

It's Official Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush are DUNZO

So according to numerous sources, Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush broke up. However it's great to know that the break up didn't involve infidelity or any physical abuse, it was simply a change of heart. With Reggie Bush athletic career and Kim Kardashian's modeling and entrepreneur ventures, their schedules became to complicated. They couldn't manage time to see one another. I really wanted Kim and Reggie to get married, they were the cutest couple ever and I wish them both the very best. They both have great careers, and maybe the timing is off. I hope to see them reunite in the future and have kids and maybe even a marriage.

I decided to pick Designer Tory Burch. I was blown away by her collections from 2008 and 2009. I love her clothes and accessories, I also admire how she's branding her empire. Tory Burch caught my eye when I spotted her loafers and her ballerina flats, at "Jeffrey's New York" in the meatpacking district in NYC. They are so iconic and appealing, and available in an assortment of colors bearing her gold emblem logo.

In case you want to purchase some online goodies from Tory Burch, you better act now, while she has 60% off on numerous items. You just can't beat this deal, and the variety of items on sales are amazing.

Tory Burch brands items from, bags in all shapes and sizes, to children and women apparel, including shoes, and jewelry. She was also endorsed by the one and only Oprah Winfrey in 2004. Tory Burch is a brand that will stay around for a while and she's gaining more and more consumers by the hour. How can you not love her and her designs, she's magnificent.

Designer Issac Mizrahi's New GIG

It was just announced that Isaac Mizrahi has teamed up with QVC Shopping network for a new show concept. The show will have a segment where Mizrahi will answer questions fashion related and personal sent in from the viewers. It was also mentioned that the show will be filmed in high definition for the first time. As well as being filmed with in Mizrahi New York City studio. However hosting a show is nothing new to Isaac Mizrahi who once had an amazing show on the "STYLE" network which was cancelled, and he's currently Co hosting on BRAVO's new show "The Fashion show" with Kelly Rowland however Mizrahi can relate to viewers and will gain a large audience because he designs trendy clothes, and price them moderately for the average consumer. There for I'm sure this show will be amazing and something to look forward to. I met Isaac Mizrahi in 2005 on the set of his show, and he was great. He basically was open and honest about everything fashion, all the do's and don'ts. He has a great personality and I just really love him and I'm sure you will. I will keep you posted with the show and the schedule as it becomes available to me.

SIDENOTE: Isaac Mizrahi collection is available at Target. Check it out!

THE GAME pays tribute to MJ

Even though it's a lot of "Rap Beef" going on I decided to long beyond the Jay-z and Game fued to focus on this video. One to many drinks, Michael Jackson music, The infamous moonwalk and The Game equals a Classic funny moment. It's fun to see people being people and just having a good time, I also realized no matter who you are, Mr Michael Jackson has had an impact on all of us. Enjoy this one!

Sidenote: Michael Jackson reached out to the game on more than one occassion to encourage him to squash the beef with 50 Cents....Who would have ever thought that?
Special thanx to

R.I.P Gidget

The famous Taco Bell Chihuahua died today. So sad, She lived a long 15 years, and made Taco Bell a success. She has a great entertainment career from, Taco bells, to Reese Witherspoons famous "Legally Blonde 2" and other television spots.

Her owner had these kind words "She lived like a queen...She had a great life. We're very sad. She's a wonderful little dog." and a Taco Bells Spokesperson also said "Our deepest sympathies go out to her owners and fans" it's clear little Gidget will be missed.

"YES" I really dedicated a blog to a dog. I'm such a animal lover, How can I not? I love my pets and they are like family to me, and I truly love animals. I'm actually hoping that "My Honey" adopts a Pomeranian for me next month. (fingers crossed)

RUMOR CONTROL....Jay-z responds to Chris Brown rumors and The game

Chris Brown public apology

Ofcourse it was written but it's also sincere. He's being very mature about this situation, and I just wish him the best. I know for a fact that he has apologized to Rihanna verbally and even purchased "Im sorry gifts" that she had accepted. I also know that the night of that incident, they both played a role in what took place. I wish Rihanna would also apologize but I doubt that will happen. However I commend Chris Brown for being a man and speaking out.

"Loso's Way" Movie Trailer

Make sure you check out this Movie Trailer "Loso's Way" starring my brother Julito. Please remember to go out and support Fabolous album "Loso's Way" this summer as well as the movie.

Things are what they are....

It's 7:53 am and I wanted to just say that my weekend was good, and also very bad. I realized that it doesn't make sense to dwell on the negative parts because it doesn't get me anywhere. There for I will say that, things could have been better but I did enjoy myself. I also realized that I had to make the craziest decision ever. To care about a person, but also having to cut them off. It's not something I wanted to do, but it's more about what he wanted. If that makes him happy, then it makes me happy. I can't say I wont miss speaking to him, because I will. I also realized that we had a friendship that wasn't real because if it was, we would have tried to maintain that friendship instead of throwing it in the trash bag. Obviously he didn't care for me the way I wanted him to or even the way I cared for him, Which means I need to find someone who does, but it's a lesson learned. Anytime you let your guard down, it's always that 85% chance your going to get hurt. As for me, I got hurt and normally I would be mad, but it's not worth it. There's more to life than this, and he was never my priority, he was only an option. No bad feelings involved, no dislike, no hate, it's all love, and things are what they are. Somethings you just can't change, whoever said life was fair?

Momentary Lapse of Judgement..

I often use the term "Momentary lapse of judgement" when it comes to guys and decisions I make based on my heart and not my mind. The term "Momentary Lapse of judgement" is basically a decision a person makes that they eventually regret or wouldn't normally have made under different circumstances. It's something you would do at a specific moment, sometimes it could be a good thing, but in most cases it's a bad thing. I realized that I've learned a lot and see things differently and even clearer now. People you meet and become friends with is sometimes based on momentary lapse of judgement, some people are just not nice people, and you try to create a character for them to avoid facing the reality that they just aren't what you expect them to be. It's at that particular moment you was drawn to them, and its not your fault, everything happens for a reason. Some people come in and out of your life to make you better and to either test you, or to further you to your goals. In life we need to take things for what they are, and momentary lapse of judgement is part of life, we can dwell on the negative or we can just use it to build for something positive.

MTV "The hills" will be back with Kristin Cavallari

Check out this video of Kristin Cavallari! She is confirmed to be the newest cast member to join the infamous hills, and what can we expect from her.

Good News in Music

After years of misunderstandings, miscommunication, and growing up and becoming mature men. Mase and Cam'ron called a quit on their feud and released a well awaited single. The new track hit the airwaves of New york City Power 105.1 and Hot 97 this week and caused chaos. The single "Get in" is what Harlem has been waiting for. This track is very refreshed and reminiscent to how they once was. I thought it was a publicity stunt, but seems as if Mase is indeed back. After leaks of the unofficial remix of Drake's "Best I ever had" featuring mase, I waited for a confirmation, but it seems as if Mase confirmed on his twitter all last week that he is dropping a album. The last time we heard mase and cam'ron on a track together was "Horse & Carriage" in 1998, 11 years ago (WOWZER)but What could this all mean? It leaves us hope that maybe Jim Jones, and Cam, Juelz, JR Writer can somehow resolve their issues. However Listen to the track below, and if you would like a free download of the track, e-mail me at

Sidenote:If you want to send some beats or verses or if your a DJ and you need drops, you can contact mase at: (Good Luck)

Quote of the Day

Sorry! I've been slacking with my blogs, in the summer time it's a little hectic, but anyway tonight I'm going to post so much, your head is gonna be spinning.

This is an excerpt from one of my favorite books, Nicole Richie's "The Truth About Diamonds" enjoy it

"I guess that's the thing about diamonds, they're the most valuable things in the world, but what really makes them priceless is the people that give them to you. They may signify wealth, but they can actually mean so much more like commitment, family and love. And there's nothing like a perfect diamond to remind you that you'll never be perfect, the truth is all you can do is try." Nicole Richie

FASHIONISTA! Visit the F.I.T museum this week

Hey everyone! I just got word that there will be a great exhibit at the F.I.T Museum. They will be showcasing a very intense/ expansive collection from their wardrobe archive. Garments that corresponds with politics and American history. It also showcases different era's of history from, the 1960's to the new millennium. The garments are well put together and it shows a prime example of how politics and different events in history inspire people in the fashion industry. The garments speaks for itself and delivers a great message and gives you an idea on American history, pop history and different cultures. I consider this a must see.

Please check it out, you will learn a lot and it's great to explore that area if your in New York City.

Seventh Avenue at 27th street,

1-212-217-4530 (Museum Number)

Sorry everyone!

I have been sick lately, and I had to abandon my blog for a few days. But I have been twittering and seeing tons of interesting things. So before I start talking about gossip and other things, I want to point out that If your having a bad day, just smile, when things aren't going right, just take a minute to think and then smile. I feel that right now, everyone is going through something and a smile is just the best medicine. I know everyone is facing hard times and this economic crisis isn't making things better. I hope and pray that one day everyone can get along and everyone can stay focus and live their dreams and don't have to suffer and endure so much pain. I pray that if your day is bad, it some how can become better. So if no one said they loved you today, I'm telling you that "I LOVE YOU" A lot of people don't believe that love goes a long way but it honestly does. As john Lennon once said "Love is all we need"

Missing Ty!

Everyone ask me all the time who is Ty? Tyshawn Bierria was the sweetest, and nicest person you could know. Besides being a friend of mines and former High School classmate, he was a great basketball player. Me and Charlie Villanueva(NBA PLAYER) and Tyshawn all went to the same high school "Newtown High School"...small world huh! Well regardless Tyshawn who was always (D.I.P) a.k.a dipped in purple died on May 6th 2008. He was stabbed multiple times and died in the hospital. It was very hard on me because I constantly thought about him day and night, and it haunts me the most because before for his passing, I thought about him so hard one day. He was on my mind so hard that I had to hit him up on myspace to say "what's up" and he wrote me back that night and said "I'm cool, I have a event tonight at my school" some kind of fashion show because he was in college at the time, and he was always so social and participating in everything. So later on that night, he was stabbed. I thought he would pull through but he didn't. I was devastated. It was hard 4 me to go to his myspace page. I love him so much and wish he was still here. It hurts my heart because he was doing what he was suppose to do, like working, going to school, and playing ball. He was actually a few weeks away from graduating. Regardless Tyshawn will always be in my heart and I think we should just put a stop to violence on campus. Ty you are missed and Loved so hard, and you wouldn't believe the impact you have on my life! We love you always!

Personal Thoughts

I first want to say "Thank you" to everyone who supports my blogs and takes interest in them. I appreciate it more than you think. I also want to say that I know you see the drama on twitter with me and other females. They make fun of me, and talk about me and most of them are typical "Mean Girls" They seem to judge me and say that I want to "Fit in with them" which is not the case. I'm genuinely a nice person and I just respect everyone. I could never fit in with anyone because I'm so different. I'm definitely in a category of my own. Which is great, I never apologize for who I am, and I'm never going to be someone I'm not. You probably see me in the clubs and you see my twitter and probably think I'm so popular, but I'm not at all. I'm just a regular person, and I'm out here starving like everyone else. I know a lot of great people in the industry and outside the industry but it never gets to my head or depicts who I am. Whatever my future holds, I can promise I will stay true to myself. My mom and my grandmother raised me, and they are strict but Strong women. I look up to them and I learned that having morals is the key to success. I know a lot of groupies in this industry and video vixens who did sexual favors to get where they had to go. I however decided to take another route, I refused to sleep around to be liked or appreciated in this industry, it's not who I am and I'm just not that desperate. It's so clear that It's definitely going to be a long road for me to get where I have to go and I'm ready for the challenge. I would rather sweat and sacrifice now, so that when I do become successful I would appreciate it more and be proud of myself. So overall my message is work hard, don't take the easy road and whatever you do in life, make sure you do it with respect, dignity, and pride. Just be legitimate and focused. There will be a lot of people that will try to sidetrack you or talk negative about you, so block them out of your life and stay on a straight path.

The king of POP and the King of RAP at Summer Jam 2001

As you already know, I'm normally everywhere, and indeed I was there! Summer Jam 2001 which was my 1st ever Summer Jam experience, I had to beg my mom to go to this event. One of the best summer jam's ever (hands down). So Lengendary because Jay-z brings out Michael Jackson and also said the infamous line "I'm about a dollar, what the fuck is 50 cents" a diss that introduced the world to a well known underground rapper known as 50 cents. Remember this "Don't be the next contestant on that summer jam screen" this was also the show where Jay-z made it clear that he did have beef with Queens native rappers "Mobb Deep" Prodigy & Havoc. It was at this show where Jay-z posted a picture of Prodigy in the leotard (giggles)....CLASSIC! Enjoy this rare footage of Jay-z and Michael Jackson.

Ps. If you went to this show, do you remember when Jay-z said "Ya'll wanna see mike"? and everyone went extremely crazy, and dame says "I think they wanna see him" and jay'z replies "he better come from behind those motherfuckin curtains" and indeed....Michael Jackson appears, and then jay-z starts his 1st performance ever of "Izzo" off of the blueprint album! A serious priceless classic moment in hop hop.

IRONICALLY! This was the year of the 9/11 attacks, the release of Jay-z "Blueprint" and Fabolous album "Ghetto Fabolous" and Michael Jackson's album "invincible" and the year Destiny Child performed at Summer Jam and didn't receive a lot of love, even though they were number one on the billboard charts. Hey, maybe Beyonce and Jay-z hooked up there, because after this show, Destiny Child appeared in the "Izzo" video....HMMMM!

The reaction in Times Square of MJ's Death

These are some of the reactions from Times Square (42nd street) New York City.

Special thanks to Tonya TKO...You are the best for this video!

CLASSIC MJ moment in NYC! I was actually there

Those may not know this, but in September 2001 I was a freshman in high school. Right after the World Trade Center attacks, my city had completely lost our spirit. We hadn't even started to get back on our feet, but long and behold Mr Michael Jackson himself came to times square "Virgin Megastore" and showed my city love. He took pictures, signed autographs and just uplifted the spirit of New York. More of a reason why we love MJ. I actually was out there that day, I think I was about 14 years old, and trying to get a glimpse of MJ, I should have been in class, but looking back now, I'm happy I cut school that day. Today I realized that I grew up to his music and so did my parents (WOW)and that proves how consistent he was, and how he's every one's idol. He is indeed the "KING".

This is why I LOVE HARLEM and My CITY! The legacy of MJ

Despite the passing of Michael Jackson, my hometown did it big. They embraced his legacy and celebrated his life in Harlem on 125th street at the famous "APOLLO" theater. The crowd decided to sing along to his greatest tunes, and of course dance, because that's what Harlem is known for. All ages, all races, all sizes and all cultures had one thing in common that day in Harlem and that indeed was Michael Jackson. It shows the spirit of Harlem and how much Michael Jackson has an impact on every ones lives and on Harlem. It was at the Apollo theater where the Jackson's 5 came and won amateur night and tour down the house. Watch the video and enjoy it, because I did and it sent chills up and down my spine in a good way.

If that wasn't enough, in Times Square 42nd street crowds and bigger crowds of people joined together embraced MJ's life while watching his music video's on the mega tron. How cool was that? however some people were singing while others cried, but one thing certain was Michael Jackson will always be remembered. With MTV's VJ "Sway" broadcasting live above at the famous MTV TRL window at 1515 Broadway, New York City was alive and definitely loved Michael Jackson.

Jermaine Jackson's Press conference

I'm still shocked from the untimely death of pop king and humanitarian Michael Jackson. I haven't been able to update my blog because there's just so much going on in the press, and New York City and in general. However, I did stumble upon this video on youtube. Brother of Michael Jackson, Jermaine releases a statement. It's really sad to watch, notice how he struggles to get through this press conference. I can't say this enough "Rest in Peace Michael Jackson" you are a legend and your legacy will continue.

Sidenote: This blog wasn't created for gossip, I try to focus on fashion, entertainment, the arts and to help people during the recession and just spread positive energy and LOVE. However I had to write about Michael Jackson because he was an extremely wonderful person.

R.I.P Michael Jackson (August 29, 1958- June 25, 2009)

I was on twitter when I heard that the biggest music icon ever died. I had 3 very reliable sources from Los Angeles, one of which works for TMZ, and when I questioned her she said "we are standing by our story and it is accurate" I knew then it had to be true. At first it was hard to believe and I immediately started thinking about how great of a musician he was. Below are 2 of my favorite videos. I really don't want to speak about his bad press, I want this to be a celebration of his life, and his legacy. He left us with a lot of great memories and songs, and unbelievable dances and fashion style. At one point in your life, you wanted to be Michael Jackson, it didn't matter if you was a women or a man, or as Michael Jackson would say "If your black or white".

Michael Jackson "Rock with you" is my favorite just because of the mix matched glitter clothes and shoes (lol) and because of this video, I learned to love glitter embellishments. This video is the epitome of a cheesy 80's music video, but at the same time it's so DOPE.
